Aahh here it goes...I must admit I feel rather nervous about CLOTHES RAIL TALES first big grand opening (so to speak),Okay I really shouldn't find blogging nerve racking it's not as if I'm a blogspot virgin after all.I've been a dedicated fashion stalker and penning about my style observations for four years over at Prettyneons.Ripping up the fashion rules, the only one rule I did set myself and stuck to was never detailing my day job.Besides Prettyneons is my bright red haired altr ego, and hello alter ego's don't have day jobs do they now?It wasn't until I had a natter about the in's,outs and stresses of work (like you do) to my best friend one windy rainy day, over a strong coffee .When she (the best friend) spat out her choco mocha all over my new Pearl Lowe tea dress, after eff'in and blinding at her she quickly churned out her sorry,"Soz,haha but oh how very funny,I never get tired of your little shop tales and drama's.You've got to get them down on paper!"
*Eureka moment*
An compulsive notebook and diary keeper kinda girl,a year ago I began recording a diary of my day-to-day goings on -on the shop floor. It wasn't until I read my own entries back I too began to see the funny side of my fashion retail job.A title (I'm not going to fib) I always felt a bit silly and ashamed of, there's so many shop girl stigma's out there and I was desperate to dodge all of them by never talking about my day job.Not to people and not on Prettyneons;that place is and will always strictly be my piece of escapism from the sometimes mundane shop girl title. However I need a corner to vent my frustrations and strife (which being a fashion retail assistant often involves) and attempt to embrace the shop girl that I (for the time being) am.No more denial.
This is CLOTHES RAIL TALES and your on the first floor, chapter one...
